Sex and Sexuality

When we talk about sex and sexuality we have in mind bisexuals, homosexuals, homosexuals and asexual.

There are a lot of young men who are heterosexual or straight. They are men who are attracted to members of the same sex and known as gay. They are scared to show their sexuality as there is often a pressure from most of the societies that stops them to show their feelings. But there are gay men all around the world.

Lesbians are too found in every culture and society. Just like men they are attracted towards their own genders. These women who stand up as being lesbians are not accepted in their societies. These homosexuals are normally not taken with a positive attitude although it is normal to get attracted to the same sex.

Bisexuals refer to individuals who are attracted to either sex. They are men and women engaging in both heterosexual and homosexual activity.

Whatever the type you are when you have sex with someone you should think about sexually transmitted diseases that include human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) which causes acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS).

Sex is a physical way to express your love, affection and desires. But it is important to keep in mind that sexual relationship can be hazardous if safety precautions are not taken. It is necessary to prevent you from getting pregnant and very crucial to protect you and your partner from sexually transmitted disease no matter in what type of a sexual relationship you are in.

Although lesbians are at low risk of HIV infection, unplanned pregnancy and becoming infected with STDs yet there is risk involved in transmission of the infection. This is because some lesbians have unsafe sex with men and they share needles.

Gay men can get HIV infection mainly through unprotected anal sex and there is also a risk from unprotected oral sex although the chances are less. Gay men can become infected if they share drug needles.

The heterosexual couples are at a high risk of being infected with the sexually transmitted diseases if they do not take necessary precautions. If they do not use condoms and have sex with multiple partner, if they have sex with an HIV or other STD infected person. To protect you from the diseases and not to infect others safe sex is the key factor for it. Safe sex enables you to have a god sex life.

Tax Advantages for Mortgage Loan Interest

Looking for a tax shelter, literally? Purchasing a home is probably the single best way to cut your yearly tax burden. For many consumers, purchasing a home opens the door to the world of the itemized deduction. When consumers purchase a home, the mortgage interest deduction and real estate tax deduction puts them above the standard yearly deduction allocated by the IRS, allowing them to deduct other expenses such as cash donations to your church, clothes you donated to charity, state and local income taxes, even tax preparation fees.

In fact, the home mortgage deduction is on the rise, from about $20 billion in 1981 to $38.8 billion in 2002 to nearly $70 billion in 2003, according to estimates from the Joint Committee on Taxation.

Law professor Deborah Geier shows the home-mortgage deduction is the third-largest single "tax expenditure" behind the deductions companies take for contributions to pension plans and for health-care premiums. Those add up to more than $400 billion over the next four years, according to the Joint Committee.

In a possible response to keeping funds in the Treasury, the Internal Revenue Service has changed the tax codes for mortgage interest. IRS publication 936 now divides home mortgages into three categories: 1.Home Acquisition Debt, 2. Refinanced Home Acquisition Debt & 3. Home Equity Debt. "In most cases, you will be able to deduct all of your home mortgage interest. Whether it is all deductible depends on the date you took out the mortgage, the amount of the mortgage, and your use of its proceeds", according to the IRS.

First of all, the IRS mandates interest only deductible for a qualified home in a secured loan. A secured loan basically includes a legal instrument such as a mortgage, deed of trust or land contract. The home must be used a collateral. In other words, only your first or second home qualifies. If you have vacation homes or rentals, check out the tax codes for specifics on the eligibility of those deductions. Wrap-around debts, also known as, seller financing are NOT secured unless "recorded or otherwise perfected under state law." Crunching the numbers: All mortgage interest for loans taken prior to October 1987 is fully deductible. But, for loans after 1987, the IRS shows, "The total amount you can treat as home acquisition debt (basically a mortgage) at any time on your main home and second home cannot be more than $1 million ($500,000 if married filing separately)."

If you refinance your mortgage, the second mortgage qualifies for the deduction only up to the value of the previous mortgagee at the time of refinancing. There is the reason why a home-equity loan could provide better tax relief if your previous mortgage is years old. The IRS limits the home equity debt deduction to the smaller of: $100,000 ($50,000 if married filing separately) or the total of each home's fair market value (FMV) reduced (but not below zero) by the amount of its home acquisition debt and grandfathered debt. Determine the FMV and the outstanding home acquisition and grandfathered debt for each home on the date that the last debt was secured by the home.

The IRS also has guidelines for mortgages not used for home acquisition or improvements if you meet certain guidelines. For example, if you are building a home and take out the mortgage before the work is completed.

Purchasing a new home could turn into one of the best ways for you to save yearly capital. The current allowable deduction put many consumers into the itemized deduction range and opens the door to saving more on your yearly taxes. You have heard it takes money to make money. Spending some cash on a new home could save you thousands maybe millions of dollars in the big picture.

Cold Weather Camping Tips

A number of my friends take their kids to the desert in December to go dirt biking and they complain about the cold camping. Well, here are a number of tips that Ive used when cold weather camping that will make your campout more enjoyable.

The obvious first tip is to bring warm clothes. So why am I mentioning this? So, youll bring the right clothes! Bring gloves, ski jackets, wool hats, wool socks, long underwear, turtleneck shirts, sweat pants, sweaters and lots of extra clothes that you can layer. Unlike summer camping where you can get away with a couple of t-shirts and a pair of shorts. Plan to over pack during cold weather. As the old adage goes, Its easier to put on clothes you have than clothes you dont have!

Shelter Find a place to shelter your tent from winds. I know it may be hard to do this in a desert, but try to make camp on the edge of a dry lakebed, not in the middle. If the wind seems to be coming from a particular direction, park your vehicle to block the wind.

During the day you keep warm by being active - hiking, dirt biking, etc. At night when it gets colder and sleep beacons you is when you need to be prepared.

Bedding Make sure you bring lots of warm bedding. I usually take a 0 F rated sleeping bag, a sleeping pad, an extra blanket and a summer rated sleeping bag. Make sure you have lots of padding between your sleeping bag and the ground of your tent. If you dont, the cold ground will suck all the heat out of your body while you sleep! Burrrrr!

Sleeping Before you go to bed, put on your long underwear, wool socks and a wool hat. Your body loses lots of heat through an exposed head. If you wake up cold, put the extra blanket or summer sleeping bag on top of you or another layer of clothes such as: sweat pants and a sweat shirt. If you get too warm, vent your sleeping bag by opening the zipper, or vent yourself by taking off your wool hat or a layer of clothing. The key is to keep warm, but not to sweat. Perspiration will make you wet and cold. If this happens, peel off your wet clothes and put some dry clothes on and start again. Now arent you glad you brought lots of clothes! :-)

Warmth A couple of tricks I use are to build a fire at night so everyone can sit around, chat and get toasty before going to bed. But, also while the fire is burning, put a pot of water on the fire, bring it not quite to a boil, pour it into a canteen or heavy-duty water bottle and take it to bed with you to warm the sleeping bag! Additionally, its always good to have some hot beverage cocoa or tea prior to bed to put something warm in your body. But, you better rid yourself of the fluids before you go to bed. Nothing is worse than waking up in the middle of a cold night to the call of nature. :-(

Hopefully you will find these tips useful and feel comfortable enough to camp when the weather is cold. Try it! Its quite a sense of accomplishment.

Tim Dales, author of Discover the Secrets of Family Camping Without Breaking the Bank! reveals the tips and techniques that he has learned from over 25 years of camping and hiking as a Boy Scout, camping with his own family and as a Scoutmaster, leading Scouts on campouts.
